The master strolling through Barcelona and picked up an abandoned opal globe in front of a glass factory. Since that it has become the heart of the family of the most famous lamps created by Miguel Milá and Cesta.
Designed with attention to detail. The opal glass shade is supported by a beautiful cherry wooden structure. While Its silhouette amazes with timeless elegance. It is a product of European craftsmanship and traditional steam bending techniques for the wood, which is delicately polished and sturdily put together are its distinctive characteristic. Santa & Cole was founded in 1985 by three designers – Nina Masó, Gabriel Ordeing Cole, and Javier Nieto Santa, with a vision of improving design for everyday life. Two years later, they surprised the market with new stylish lamps that were out of the trends of that time, it was something completely unusual. The enthusiasm with which the brand’s products were received inspired the creative team to further exploit. Santa & Cole experts were actively involved in the renovation of Barcelona for the 1992 Olympics. Many solutions that were then implemented on the streets of the city were included in the Santa & Cole catalog and gave an incentive to develop the outdoor direction further.
